Ghost Pepper (Bhut Jolokia)

The Bhut Jolokia is also known as Bih Jolokia, Ghost Chilli and often confused with the Naga chilli. The Bhut jolokia is an exceptionally hot hybrid chilli, cultivated in the Indian states of Assam, Nagaland and Manipur. Ripe peppers can be up to 9cm long with either red, yellow, orange or chocolate colour. Whatever colour they are, they are still viciously hot and should be treated with extreme caution – and protective clothing. They are thin-skinned, with the characteristic, finely wrinkled appearance of the super hot chilli.
