What are Chipotle chillies?

Chipotles are a chilli pepper often enjoyed in Mexican cuisine, but they're also increasingly popular worldwide as an ingredient in many dishes. Chipotle peppers are smoked, and dried jalapenos - typically wrinkly, dark-coloured and have a smoky-sweet flavour. Our dried chipotle peppers have been rehydrated to make this chilli puree, but they can also be used dried as chipotle powder or even chipotle flakes. Although chipotles can range heavily in terms of spiciness, they tend to pack a medium punch! These special chillies will surely bring an extra layer of flavour to any dish.
